Full job description
Pre-Tech is looking for an experienced professional to join a growing inspection team. The candidate needs to be able to write CMM programs for Aerospace machined product using Verisurf. Need to operate CMM’s while programming. Software training is available. Both 1st and 2nd shifts available in our Williston, VT and Mineville, NY locations.
Job Duties
- Program CMM to inspect for final inspections and operation specific inspections using solid models and/or 2 dimensional prints
- Operate CMMs
- Work in a team environment, collaborate with engineers, inspectors, and support floor needs
- Manage time with scheduling tools to have programs operational when product is received from floor
- Inspect parts to established inspection procedures
- Maintain accurate records, fill out inspection reports, manipulate spreadsheets, and report data to supervisor
- Operate a variety of inspection equipment including height gage, micrometers, calipers, gages, comparator, and vision system
Required Skills/Abilities
- 1 year minimum programming CMM
- Strong blueprint reading and interpretation skills
- Extensive understanding of GD&T
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures and comply with AS 9100 requirements
- Perform preventative daily machine and workstation maintenance
- Follow all safety requirements including use of PPE when required
- Highly motivated with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong work ethic and comfortable working in a team environment
