Manufacturing Support / Machine Operator

Full job description

Pre-Tech is looking for motivated candidates that are mechanically inclined.  The position is a starter role in a machine shop environment and will train the candidate to perform a number of tasks in a shop support role.  Duties may include product packing, cleaning, assembly, inspection, deburring, machine operation or any number of shop wide tasks. Opportunity for advancement to a shop role that suits the candidate’s talents. Both 1st and 2nd shifts available in our Williston, VT and Mineville, NY locations.

Requirements

  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to perform functions using a number of hand tools
  • Ability to follow instructions and repeat the process unsupervised
  • Willingness to learn in both a classroom and hands on setting
  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures and comply with AS 9100 requirements
  • Perform preventative daily machine and workstation maintenance
  • Follow all safety requirements including use of PPE when required
  • Highly motivated with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong work ethic and comfortable working in a team environment
