Quality Inspection Technician

Quality Control Inspector to conduct mechanical inspection of machined parts.

The ideal candidate will have experience in the use of measuring tools and the ability to read blueprints. Must have the ability to perform a wide variety of final inspection duties. Inspects parts to established inspection procedures. Be thoroughly familiar with, and operate a variety of inspection equipment including micrometers, optical comparators, verniers, gages, CMM, vision systems, and digital height gauges. Checks parts against prints; completes inspection reports. Maintains accurate records and other data as required. Must have a solid knowledge of quality systems and GD&T. We need team members on both 1st and 2nd shifts in our Williston, VT.

Responsibilities:

• Performs duties of Mechanical Quality Inspector as required.
• Performs receiving, first piece, in-process, and final inspection of parts using measuring equipment such as: micrometers, verniers and calipers.
• Train to operate CMM with opportunity to program.
• Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.

Skills:

• Ability to use various measurement and inspection devices.
• Able to use SPC theories, functions, and blueprint readings.
• Able to fill out company inspection and production documents.
• Able to determine when parts meet specifications.
• CMM Experience Desirable.
• Able to use a microscope.
• Must be very detail oriented.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or the equivalent
• Prior mechanical quality inspector Desired
• Shop math – Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing knowledge helpful.
• Willing to train the right individuals.
